The Transaction
Announced on 8 September 2026, the acquisition was advised by Bech-Bruun and covers Domus Forsikring’s full book of change-of-ownership and building damage business. Financial terms have not been disclosed. The deal follows DARAG’s Protector Danish Workers’ Compensation portfolio transfer agreement, completed at year-end 2025, and continues the company’s pattern of consolidating Nordic legacy portfolios as it builds out its European footprint.

Market Context
The transaction lands within months of DARAG closing its Protector deal — a Danish workers’ compensation exit that CEO Tom Booth called the company’s 70th transaction across 22 jurisdictions in 15 years of trading. Taken together, the two deals point to a deliberate strategy: DARAG is positioning itself as the natural counterparty for Nordic carriers looking to exit discrete, non-core legacy lines, rather than pursuing one-off opportunistic acquisitions.

JDCC VIEW
Two Danish exits in under a year is no longer a coincidence — it’s a beachhead. DARAG isn’t just picking off stray portfolios; it’s building a reputation as the default buyer for Nordic carriers with legacy lines to shed, which should mean it sees the next deal before its competitors even hear about it.
